About Us

Ask anyone who's walked through the doors at 3867 Carman Road and they'll tell you the same thing: this place feels real. It's the kind of room where Mike behind the kitchen counter knows your order, your waitress checks on you twice, and the table next to yours is a women's group swapping stories over lunch on a Tuesday afternoon.

The Elks Lodge has been a cornerstone of the Schenectady area for generations, earning a 4.6-star rating from the people who actually show up, month after month. Members come for the Turkey Shoot, stay for the pub menu, and end up volunteering at a veterans' fundraiser. That's not a happy accident; it's what this organization is built to do.

The lodge hosts everything from monthly community luncheons and live entertainment to youth programs and veterans' support initiatives. Non-members are welcome at many events, so curiosity is all you need to walk in the first time.

What We Offer

Dining here means real food made with care. The taco bowl has earned its own fan club, loaded with toppings brought right to your table so you build it exactly the way you want. The pub menu rotates with comfort staples that hit the spot after a cold Schenectady commute.

Beyond the kitchen, the lodge runs a full calendar of community programming. The Christian Women's Group holds its monthly luncheon here. The annual Turkey Shoot draws a crowd every fall. Dinners, themed nights, local vendor events, and live speakers fill the schedule throughout the year.

Membership unlocks the full experience: access to all member events, discounted dining, and the chance to plug into veterans' advocacy, youth scholarship programs, and neighborhood outreach that the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks has championed nationally since 1868.

"The Christians Womans Group network meets at the Elks club once a month to have a nice lunch, a speaker and someone with entertainment and also a local vendor and it’s a way for women of the community to connect with each other and I’ve been asked to be the small business at a few of their meetings and I thoroughly enjoy every single timeThe meals are always wonderful. The service is always great. They do a nice job of letting the group use the facility for their meetings."

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
